# Removing the ground power unit (GPU)

## Preliminary requirements

### Safety conditions

Obey all the safety precautions when you do maintenance on or near electrical/electronic equipment. If you do not obey these precautions, injury to personnel and/or damage to equipment can occur.

## Procedure

1. Stop the ground power unit.
2. Disconnect the ground power unit connector 
3. from the external power receptacle.
4. Close the external power access-door (192CR).
