Installing the crew seats

Preliminary requirements

Safety conditions

Obey all the safety precautions when you do maintenance on or near electrical/electronic equipment. If you do not obey these precautions, injury to personnel and/or damage to equipment can occur.

Make sure not to pull on the cables too much to prevent damage to the cables and connectors.

This procedure is given for the pilot crew seat. The procedure is the same for the copilot crew seat unless specified differently.

Procedure

  1. Put the crew seat in position near the seat tracks.

  2. Align the aft section of the tracks of the crew seat with the middle slot of the seat tracks.

  3. Pull the horizontal control lever, then install the crew seat on the seat tracks.

  4. Move the crew seat aft until the tracks of the crew seat engage the seat tracks.

  5. Release the horizontal control lever.

  6. Move the crew seat aft until the locking pins are safely engaged in the hole of the seat tracks.

  7. Install the screws, spacers, and nuts in the forward hole of the seat tracks.

  8. Tighten the nuts.

  9. Connect the Intercommunication System (ICS) connector to the headset jack (2350HS2 or 2350HS1).
