Removing the crew seats

Preliminary requirements

Safety conditions

Obey all the safety precautions when you do maintenance on or near electrical/electronic equipment. If you do not obey these precautions, injury to personnel and/or damage to equipment can occur.

Make sure not to pull on the cables too much to prevent damage to the cables and connectors.

This procedure is given for the pilot crew seat. The procedure is the same for the copilot crew seat unless specified differently.

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the Intercommunication System (ICS) connector from the headset jack (2350HS2 or 2350HS1).

  2. At the forward end only, remove the nuts, spacers, and screws from the seat tracks.

  3. Pull the horizontal control lever to unlock the locking pins of the crew seat.

  4. Move the crew seat forward until the aft section of its tracks is aligned with the middle slots of the seat tracks.

Be careful that you do not cause damage to the cyclic stick when you remove the crew seat.

  1. Carefully remove the crew seat from the crew compartment.
