# Removing the hydraulic power unit

## Procedure

1. Disconnect the return hose of the Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) from the Union (AS5174W0505) at the return port (FROM ACT) of the Hydraulic Reservoir Filter Module (HRFM).
2. Disconnect and remove the Union (AS5174W0505) from the elbow fitting.
3. Remove the protective cap or plug from the check valve.
4. Connect the elbow fitting to the check valve.
5. Torque the elbow fitting to 48 to 96 inch-pounds (5.4 to 10.8 Nm).
6. Disconnect the pressure hose of the Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) from the tee fitting at the pressure port (FROM PUMP) of the HRFM.
7. Install the cap on the tee fitting.
8. Torque the cap 60 to 108 inch-pounds (6.8 to 12.2 Nm).
9. Move the Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) away from the helicopter.
