Checking the fluid level of the hydraulic system

Procedure

  1. Look to the sight gauge on the Hydraulic Reservoir Filter Module (HRFM) through the screen of the right transmission fairing.

  2. If the sight gauge is dirty, do the steps that follow:

    1. Remove the right transmission fairing (DMC-505-A-53-40-02-00A-520A-A).

    2. Clean the sight gauge with a Clean cloth (C-516) moist with Drycleaning solvent (C-304).

    3. Install the right transmission fairing.

  3. Visually examine the sight gauge for cracks or discoloration.

  4. If there are cracks or discoloration on the sight gauge, replace the HRFM.

  5. Make sure the level of hydraulic fluid on the sight gauge is between the FULL line and the REFILL line.

Requirements after job completion

If the fluid level is below the REFILL line, fill the hydraulic system with hydraulic fluid to the correct level.

If the fluid level is above the FULL line, drain the hydraulic system until you get the correct level.
