Testing the operation of the hydraulic system
Preliminary requirements
Safety conditions
Only a qualified person can operate the engine.
You must not do this procedure in the hangar.
Do not operate the controls more than permitted for ground idle.
Procedure
Start the helicopter (BHT-505-FM, Section 2).
Adjust the friction knobs of the collective and cyclic controls for minimum friction.
Set the HYD SYS switch to the HYD SYS position.
Make sure that the collective and cyclic controls move freely.
Set the HYD SYS switch to the OFF position.
Make sure that more force is necessary to move the collective and cyclic controls.
Adjust the friction knobs of the collective and cyclic controls, as necessary.
Requirements after job completion
