It is designed to aid persons enrolled in a formal course of instruction, as well as the individual who is studying on his or her own. This guide is not intended to replace, substitute for, or supersede official regulations or the manufacturer’s instructions. The [505 Component Maintenance Manual (CMM)](https://bellhelicopter.net/tp/ietm/505/PMC-505-97499-05000-00/DMC-505-A-00-75-00-00A-001A-A?tocView=manual\&figureView=figure) provides all the procedures and data necessary to restore the **BELL** 505 components. The instructions provided in the **505-CMM** and those modified either by [Alert Service Bulletins (ASB)](https://bellhelicopter.net/tp/toc/505/ASB) issued by **BELL**, or by Airworthiness Directives (AD) issued by the local Aviation Authority, shall be strictly followed. ## Component Restoration (Overhaul) Schedule The manufacture recommends to restore (overhaul) the following components at specified intervals:
