Windows

The windows provide a large unobstructed view to the operator and the passengers to outside of the helicopter. They also make the flight compartment and cabin weather tight. They consist of the components that follow:

Flight compartment

The flight compartment provides an unobstructed view to the operator out the front of the helicopter. It has the components that follow:

  • Left windshield

  • Right windshield

The windshields are mounted to the structure with adhesive tape that provides a strong bond and makes the flight compartment weather tight. Fasteners installed at key locations provide a fail safe installation. The retainer installed on the windshield center post provides additional safety.

The left and right windshields are made from gray-tinted acrylic plastic. they are installed on the front of the fuselage.

Fuselage compartment

The fuselage compartment provides a view to the passengers out the right side of the helicopter. It consists of the right passenger window.

The passenger window is mounted on the structure with adhesive tape that provides a strong bond and makes the cabin weather tight. Fasteners installed at key locations provide a fail safe installation. The passenger window is made from gray-tinted acrylic plastic. It is installed on the right side of the fuselage.

Door

The door provides a view to the operator and the passengers out the sides of the helicopter. It has the components that follow.

  • Left crew door window

  • Right crew door window

  • Clamshell door window

The door windows are made from gray-tinted acrylic plastic. The door windows are mounted on the left and right crew doors and clamshell door with adhesive tape that provides a strong bond and makes the flight compartment and the cabin weather tight. Fasteners installed at key locations provide a fail safe installation.

Inspection and observation

The inspection and observation window provides a view port to inspect the transmission oil level sight gauge. It consists of the transmission oil level inspection window.

The transmission oil level inspection window is made from acrylic plastic. It is attached to the upper-right mid-fuselage access panel with screws and washers. A rubber gasket provides water tightness.
