MAKE SURE YOU OBEY ALL OF THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN YOU USE SOLVENTS. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO COMPONENTS.

DO NOT ALLOW SOLVENT TO MAKE CONTACT WITH PARTS MADE OF ELASTOMERIC MATERIAL OR DAMAGE WILL OCCUR.

Procedure

Do a detailed inspection of the Liquid Inertia Vibration Eliminator (LIVE) mount units, as follows:

  1. Clean the left and right LIVE mount units with Clean cloth (C-516) moistened with Cleaning compound (C-318).

  2. Examine the left and right LIVE mount units or dents, nicks, scratches, and tool marks. Look carefully at the elastomer part.

  3. Examine the left and right LIVE mount unit for chafing, wear, cracks, and corrosion. Look carefully at the elastomer part.

  4. Examine the left right LIVE mount unit for signs of leakage. No leakage allowed. Look carefully at the elastomer part for indication of fluid on it.
