This section provides an overview of the G1000H NXi Integrated Flight Deck as installed in the BELL 505 Jet Ranger X. The G1000H NXi system is an Integrated Avionics System (IAS) that presents flight and engine instrumentation, position, navigation, communication, and identification information to the pilot through two large format displays.
The Integrated Avionics System (IAS) consist of the systems that follow:
The system integration and display is used to provide central acquisition, processing and display of data from multiple sources such as drive systems, navigation computation, air data computation, warnings, engine parameters, etc. For a system description, refer to Systems Integration and Display.
The indicating/recording system uses the Garmin G1000H NXi Integrated Avionics System (IAS) to integrate the interaction the pilot has with the helicopter. It combines the primary flight instruments, helicopter systems instrumentation, and navigational information provided by the navigation systems. For a system description, refer to Indicating/Recording Systems.
The communications system is used by the pilot and copilot to speak to each other and to the passengers, with the ground stations, and other aircraft. It is also used by the pilot and copilot to listen to communication and navigation radios, and to hear the audio alerts from the integrated avionics. For a system description, refer to Communications.
The navigation systems provide flight and navigation information for the pilot. For a system discussion and/or description, refer to Navigation.
