MAKE SURE YOU OBEY ALL OF THE SAFETY PRECAUTIONS WHEN YOU USE SOLVENTS. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO COMPONENTS.

DO NOT ALLOW SOLVENT TO MAKE CONTACT WITH PARTS MADE OF ELASTOMERIC MATERIAL OR DAMAGE WILL OCCUR.

Procedure

Both the hydraulic pump side and the transmission drive side of the pump driveshaft assembly needs to be inspected.

Do a detailed inspection of the pump driveshaft assembly as follows:

  1. Clean the pump driveshaft assembly with a Clean cloth (C-516) moistened with Drycleaning solvent (C-304).

  2. Examine the pump driveshaft assembly for wear of the splines.

  3. Examine the pump driveshaft assembly for security of the rivet.

  4. If there is damage replace the pump driveshaft assembly .
