Safety conditions

Immediately after you disconnect the components, lines, and fittings, make sure to seal all the open ends and ports to prevent contamination.

Remove only the parts that are necessary to do maintenance.

Procedure

If necessary, remove the pump adapter assembly

  1. Disconnect the pump-to-filter pressure line from the hydraulic pump union fitting.

  2. Disconnect the HRFM-to-pump suction line from the hydraulic pump union fitting.

  3. Remove the bolts, washers, and hydraulic pump.

  4. Remove and discard the packing from the hydraulic pump.

  5. To remove the union fitting from the pressure port, if necessary, do the steps that follow:

    1. Remove the union fitting from the pressure port of the hydraulic pump.

    2. Remove and discard the packing from the union fitting.

  6. To remove the union fitting from the suction port, if necessary, do the steps that follow:

    1. Remove the union fitting from the suction port of the hydraulic pump.

    2. Remove and discard the packing from the union fitting.

  7. Put Caps or plugs (C-428) on all the open ends and ports of the hydraulic pump and fittings.
